J Roddy Walston and the Business – Music Hall of Williamsburg – 8-22-2017

J Roddy Walston and the Business
Music Hall of Williamsburg

When music curator/promoter Pamnation recommended ATO Records artist J Roddy Walston we were advised they ROCKED live. How hard? The Music Matters ventured to one of their favorite venues in Brooklyn to see for themselves. The band consisting of J Roddy Walston (piano, guitar, lead vocals) joined by Billy C Gordon (guitar), Steve “the sleeve” Colmus (drums) and Logan Davis (bass) opened the set with one of The Music Matters favs “Same Days” and it only went uphill from there. Rolling through an hour long set to a packed house, the fans demanded more. The gang delivered by treating us to additional half hour of goodies as they hit hard. Especially on the insisted on by the crowd finale “Heavy Bells”, which they turned into a jam that could have been a concert by itself. Missing out on these guys is a mistake in the eyes of The Music Matters . Make sure you follow them on tour and on social media.
