Gary Schwartz, one of the premiere professional drummers in the Hudson Valley of NY suffered neck and wrist injuries in an automobile accident returning from a Delaware performance in early June. Gary’s career is storied and colorful. His musical history goes back to the legendary NYC music scene in the 70s and 80s, Many live performances and recordings since then all led to the respect his has today in the industry . Due to this accident, Gary will in all probability not be able to work for the better part of a year. As most of you know, musicians generally aren’t able to collect insurance monies for inability to work in situations like this. Of course Gary is much too proud to ask, but our local music community in Westchester and The Music Matters are asking. Please find it in your hearts to contribute to a man who’s given so much to us. It’s time to give what we can back. . There will be a benefit given for him today at Lucy’s in Pleasantville from 3-10PM. For those who cannot attend, please take a look at the link below and give what you can. Every dollar helps Thank you.
